This is a question many people have when the weather starts to finally warm up! During the spring, Bermuda typically doesn’t require any watering. We suggest you begin the watering season in May. Two times per week is sufficient as Bermuda is drought tolerant. Watering in the morning hours to a depth of 1 to 1 and ½ inches of water total per week is a good rule of thumb.
Another way to keep your lawn looking healthy is to know what height to cut. The recommended height for Bermuda is 1 to 1 and ½ inches. Cutting high encourages deeper roots that burrow down into the soil looking for moisture. Healthy roots also help to crowd out weeds from overtaking your lawn.
